Of all the issues woke Twitter could be upset with Trump about, the outrage over Trump allowing Mike Lindell, creator of My Pillow, to speak at the White House press briefing has to be one of the most ridiculous Twitter outrage trends so far.
“I encourage you to use this time at home to get back in the word, read our Bibles, and spend time with our families,” said Lindell. “With our great president, vice president, and this administration, and all the great people in this country praying daily, we will get through this and get back to a place that is stronger than ever.”
In a time of national crisis, a word of encouragement and prayer is exactly what is needed.
However, some on woke Twitter and in the media immediately began mocking him because of his religious and political beliefs. They even mocked his appearance and his company.
Lindell is a former cocaine addict and alcoholic that was able to overcome his addictions and then later create a multimillion dollar company that provides American jobs. His pillow products are manufactured here in America. He is an example of the American dream come true. It’s great he was able to turn his life around and find success.
At the White House, he announced that 75% of MyPillow’s production would shift to producing cotton face masks for health care workers fighting COVID-19. He hopes to produce 10,000-50,000 masks per day.
Instead of being ridiculed online, he should be praised for pitching in and helping during these difficult times we are living through as coronavirus continues to spread.
These are cup half-empty people. They must always look at the negative instead of the positive. If you disagree with his politics and his support of Trump, that’s fine, but mocking him in this time of need when he’s trying to make a difference makes you look like a small, petty person.
Maybe those that are so upset by Lindell need a better night’s sleep to calm their anger. They should try sleeping on a My Pillow.
